Teaching Philosophy of the Human Person and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao in the K to 12 Curriculum (Seminar-Workshop 2018)

This year’s seminar-workshop will cover the following topics: Person and the Common Good, Development of Human Sexuality and Gender Identity, Family and Society.






Schedule: April 10-12, 2018 (Tuesday to Thursday)

Venue: Telengtan Hall, University of Asia and the Pacific, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City

FeeP3,500 - early bird fee (to be paid in full on or before March 9, 2018)
        P4,000 - regular fee
        (covers lunch and snacks, materials and other incidental expenses)

Seminar-workshop objectives:
1. To help the participants understand the basic concepts relevant to the subjects of Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao. A better and deeper understanding of these concepts will render a more substantial and grounded content which will redound to a better delivery of the subject matter.

2. To share with the participants some of the best practices concerning teaching approaches and assessment tools used in Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.

3. To help the participants generate complementary skills among the students in the study of Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao, such as critical thinking, moral reasoning and virtuous behavior.

The roster of resource persons comprises faculty members of the Philosophy Department of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Asia & the Pacific, all specialists in their respective fields of study.
